Dr. Downing is an Ohio native.  He grew up in New Paris, Ohio, and graduated valedictorian from National Trail High School in 1995.  He attended The University of Dayton where he majored in Pre-Dentistry and graduated with his B.S./ Summa Cum Laude in 1999.  Dr. Downing attended The Indiana University School of Dentistry on an Army Health Professions Scholarship and graduated in 2003.  Dr. Downing spent four years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he achieved almost 300 hours of continuing dental education and worked one of one with dental specialists to advance his skills and training.  During those four years, Dr. Downing was awarded with Achievement and Commendation Medals for his commitment to dentistry and the Army.

Today, Dr. Downing owns and practices full-time at Pleasant Run Dental.
